Science and Technology of Welding and Joining is an international peer reviewed journal covering both the basic science and applied technology of welding and joining. Its comprehensive scope encompasses all welding and joining techniques (brazing, soldering, mechanical joining, etc.) and aspects such as characterization of heat sources, mathematical modelling of transport phenomena, weld pool solidification, phase transformations in weldments, microstructure-property relationships, welding processes, weld sensing, control and automation, neural network applications, and joining of advanced materials, including plastics and composites. As an online-only journal, articles are posted shortly following acceptance, providing rapid access to the latest international peer-reviewed research.

Science and Technology of Welding and Joining regularly publishes special issues focusing on topics of current interest. Information about special issues is posted on the journal homepage. Proposals for special issues are welcome and should be addressed to the Editor.

Remember:

• DO NOT include figures in your manuscript file: upload figures separately.

• DO NOT use Word 2007 equations since these cannot be used for typesetting and will result in delays in the processing of your paper. Equations must be produced using the Word 2003 equation editor or Mathtype.

• DO NOT use Word for figure formatting - use accepted figure formats such as .jpeg and .tif

• TAKE CARE to ensure that labels and legends in figures and tables are checked for accuracy and spelling: correction work may delay the processing of your paper.
