The Singapore Medical Journal (SMJ) is the official peer-reviewed monthly journal of the Singapore Medical Association (SMA). It is one of the major medical publications in the region. It welcomes submissions in the following categories: original research papers, case reports, editorials, review articles, CME articles, letters to the Editor, and others. |
Online manuscript submission and peer review system
Using this system, authors can submit their manuscripts electronically and track their progress at all stages; reviewers can view, accept, and download assigned manuscripts and submit their reviews online; and editors can manage and keep track of the entire reviewing process.
First time users: Please select 'REGISTER' from the menu at the top and enter the requested information. Upon successful registration, you will be sent an email containing your username and password. Simply log in using the provided account. Do NOT register again.
Repeat users: Please select ‘LOGIN” from the menu at the top and enter your username and password. Then choose the appropriate role. You do not need to re-register, even if your role changes (e.g. from author to reviewer).
Authors: Please select 'LOGIN' and provide your username and password. Log in as ‘Author’. Then submit your manuscript and track its progress through the system. Carefully read the Instructions for Authors and download the Copyright Assignment form before submitting a manuscript.
Reviewers: Please select 'LOGIN' and provide your username and password. Log in as ‘Reviewer’. You may view and /or download manuscripts assigned to you and submit your comments for the Editor and the Authors.
Problems and FAQ
Forgotten your password? Select ‘LOGIN’ from the menu above and click ‘Send Username/Password' at the bottom of the login screen. Enter the required information and you will receive an email with the requested information.
To change your password: Log in to the system and select 'UPDATE MY INFORMATION' from the menu. Change your password in the ‘Password’ field and click the ‘Submit’ button at the bottom of the screen.
