Submit Abstract

The ‘Submit Abstract’ step on the Submit Manuscript interface allows the Author to type or copy and paste the Manuscript’s Abstract into a textbox.  This information is displayed on the submission’s ‘Details’ page, on the PDF cover sheet, and can be displayed for the Reviewer when the Reviewer is invited.  The journal can make this an optional or required step, or hide this step so that the Author does not see it.

 

Note:  Many journals require the Author to submit an Abstract at this step, as they use the merge field %ABSTRACT% to pull the Abstract directly into Reviewer Invitations
