Saving and Printing Reviewer Recommendations

Reviewers are able to save their comments so that their reviews do not get erased if their computer crashes or if they lose their connection.  Additionally, Reviewers can save their work and return later to finish their review.  Also, Reviewers can print a draft of their review to take off-line to proof read, and print their review for their files before submitting it to the journal office.

To Configure:  No configuration is required

Note:  The Reviewer can open the ‘Confidential Comments to Editor’ box and the ‘Blind Comments to Author’ box in their windows.  This means that the Reviewer has more of their review visible while typing or reading their review

Note:  The Reviewer must choose a ‘Recommendation Term’ from the drop-down box before being allowed to submit a review.  The Recommendation drop-down box defaults to No Recommendation.  As this is not a valid choice, the Reviewer will receive a warning and will not be able to submit their review if they do not select something other than No Recommendation

Note:  For the convenience of your Reviewers, and so that they may take advantage of word processing features (e.g., spell-check, bullets, numbering), we suggest that you continue to recommend that Reviewers use regular word processing programs (e.g., Microsoft Word, WordPerfect) when typing their review.  They should then copy and paste their comments into the boxes provided
