Authors Suggest and Oppose Reviewers

Editors are able to see the Author’s ‘Reviewer Preferences’ in a pop-up available from the ‘Reviewer Selection Summary’ page and from the ‘Select Reviewer’ pages in all selection modes.  You can refer to this information when inviting Reviewers for the submission.

Simply click on the Author’s ‘Reviewer Preferences’ link, which will only appear if they Author has provided Reviewer information, and you can access the Author’s preferences.

If your Reviewer search comes up with a match that the Author has suggested, the following text will appear under that Reviewer’s name: Author may have suggested this Reviewer.  If a Reviewer that the Author has opposed comes up in your search, the following message will appear below the Reviewer’s name: Author may have opposed this Reviewer.
