
Author PDF Approval
In the last step of the manuscript submission process, the Author sends his attached files and metadata to the Editorial Manager PDF builder. The Author is then presented with a message that informs him that the PDF is being built and that it must be viewed and approved before it can be submitted to the journal. Depending on the size of the submission and the amount of PDF building activity outstanding, this could take as long as 30-60 minutes (although most times it will be only a few minutes).
Also, the Author is prevented from approving the submission until the PDF of the submission has been viewed.
To Configure: No configuration is required
Note: You should have a letter configured to go to the Author at the ‘PDF Built’ event. This letter is used to remind the Author that his submission has been built and should be viewed and approved before the journal office can receive it.
