Once you have logged in as a Reviewer, please follow these directions for submitting a review:
- Reviewer Main Menu appears; click on "New Reviewer Invitations". New Reviewer Invitations for(your name) appears.
- In the Action Column on the left, click on "view abstract". This will help you decide whether you are able to review the manuscript. (Please note the timeframe - you must respond to the invitation within 5 days, and complete the review within 10 days. If you are unable to meet this schedule, please decline the invitation.)
- If your decision is to review, click "agree to review".
This will bring you to "Thank You For Agreeing to Review Manuscript No."__________"
- Click on "Pending Assignments"
In the left-hand column, click on "view submission". You may print out the PDF if you prefer reading a hard copy.
If so, you can return to "Pending Assignments" later.
- After reviewing the submission, click " x " in the top right-hand corner of the screen to close the manuscript, and click again to close Adobe.
This will bring you to Reviewer Recommendation and Comments for Manuscript Number_____."
- Open the drop-down menu at the top of the page and select your recommendation.
- Scroll down to the reviewer instructions, and fill in the forms below accordingly.
[N.B. It's important to read the printed instructions on this page as you move through the steps.] You may hit "Proof and Print" if you want a hard copy of your decision, or hit "Proceed".
- This will bring you to "Reviewer Recommendation and Comments for Manuscript Number _____
Original Submission." Here you can review your recommendation.
If it's ok, click "Submit Review to Journal Office."
Your job is done.
