Make sure you have all components BEFORE
you begin to submit your materials online. Please use this
checklist to ensure you have included all necessary elements for your
manuscript submission.
Copyright
/ Disclosure form Signed by ALL
Authors. (This file will be faxed to
the Editorial Office
separately.) [Note: Information entered
into this form cannot be saved, but can be printed for faxing or for
your records.]
* Tables Tables
should consist of text or numerical data without images and should be
created in Word. Tables should appear at the end of the manuscript file
after references and figure legends. Each table should be on a separate
page.
** Figures If a color image is
accepted for print, it must meet the following specifications: CMYK, at
least 300 DPI, and be accompanied by a digital color proof (not a laser
print or photocopy), to be used at press for color reproduction. Gray
scale images should be at least 1200 DPI. Line art--black and white, or
color--should be at least 1200 DPI. [Note: Each figure should be
submitted as a separate image file.] Each image submitted is counted
in the total number of images allowed for each manuscript type.
Example: Figure 1A, figure 1B, and figure 1C count as a total of 3
images.
Figures should be submitted in electronic format, either
in TIFF or JPEG format. Figures should be created using graphics
software such as Photoshop or Illustrator. DO NOT USE PowerPoint,
Corel-Draw, or Harvard Graphics.
COLOR figures submitted with the
manuscript will appear in black and white in print, unless selected for
color by the Editor. They will appear on the website in color, at no
extra charge. When color images appear in print in black and white, the
black and white contrast will diminish, so choose distinct color
contrasts and/or patterns for best conversion to black and white
images.
