The American Journal of the Medical Sciences
Scope
The American Journal of the Medical Sciences considers manuscripts
reporting original clinical or laboratory investigations, reviews, case reports
and rapid communications. Papers on all subspecialties are invited, especially
cardiology, infectious diseases, pulmonary and critical care, nephrology and
hypertension. Each manuscript must be accompanied by a statement indicating
that the material has not been previously published elsewhere and is being
considered solely by AJMS. In addition, the submission must be accompanied
by a completed copyright transfer form. All clinical research should be conducted
in accordance with the guiding principles for human experimentation summarized
in the latest version of the Helsinki Declaration. When reporting experiments
on animals, indicate which guideline on the care and use of laboratory animals
was followed. Include permission to reproduce previously published material
or to use illustrations that may identify human subjects. Questions? Please contact Kathleen Kelly, Managing Editor, at ajms@musc.edu, 843-792-0902 (phone) or 843-792-0903 (fax).
