Journal of Addiction Medicine
Scope
The mission of the Journal of Addiction Medicine (JAM), the
official journal of the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM), is
to promote excellence in the practice of addiction medicine and clinical research.
JAM functions independently from ASAM in terms of its editorial content.
Published quarterly, JAM should be considered indispensable reading for all physicians and other health professionals who need to keep up-to-date with the science and treatment of addiction-related disorders. Peer-reviewed articles published in JAM will focus on interesting, important, and clinically relevant developments in addiction medicine arrived at via methodologically sound processes. Topics are as wide-ranging as the interests of clinicians and scientists. These include clinical and pre-clinical issues, treatment innovations, as well as topics in ethical, economic, forensic, and social areas.
