Transfer of Copyright Form    System Requirements

First-Time Users: Please click on the "Register" button in the menu above and enter the requested information. When you register, you must select "e-mail" as your preferred method of contact. Upon successful registration, you will be sent an e-mail message verifying your registration and including your username and password. Save or print a copy of this information for future reference.

    NOTE: If you have received an e-mail from Health Promotion Practice with an assigned username and password, DO NOT REGISTER AGAIN – just log in.
Repeat Users: If you have already received an e-mail message from us with an assigned username and password, you do not need to register again. Simply select the "Login" button above and proceed. Note that you will need to enter your username and password information, then click on the button that corresponds to the activities you need to conduct in Editorial Manager® (i.e. "Author" to submit or track a manuscript; "Reviewer" to view a manuscript you have been invited to review).

    NOTE: Users may have multiple roles (i.e. author, reviewer, editor). Once you have an assigned username and password, you do not need to re-register to carry out activities in Editorial Manager® in a different role.
Authors: Please click the "Login" button above and log into the system as an "Author." Here you may submit your manuscript, as well as track its movement through the review process. Note that you MUST view and approve your submission below it can begin the review process. Pay attention to the screen messages as you proceed; Editorial Manager® will let you know when your submission has been sent to the Editorial Office. Please familiarize yourself with the detailed manuscript preparation instructions -- available in the Instructions for Authors (link above) -- before submitting your manuscript.

Reviewers: Please click the "Login" button above and log into the system as a "Reviewer." Here you may view and/or download manuscripts assigned to you for review, submit your comments to the Editor and the authors, and track the progress of the manuscript through the system.

Copyright Agreement / Transfer of Copyright: All contributing authors of manuscripts submitted to Health Promotion Practice are required to submit a signed Transfer of Copyright form to the Editorial Office. You may download the Transfer of Copyright form here and return the signed copy/copies to Sarah Leonard at sleonard@sophe.org or (fax) 202-408-9815.

Adobe Acrobat: In order to view manuscripts in Editorial Manager® you must have Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0 or later. If you do not currently have this installed on your computer, you may download it free of charge at www.adobe.com.

OnlineFirst / Publish Ahead of Print: In May 2006 Health Promotion Practice implemented OnlineFirst, a SAGE Journals Online feature where completed articles are published online prior to their inclusion in a print issue (also referred to as "publishing ahead of print"). This feature offers authors the advantage of making their research accessible to our readers and the public in a more timely manner. Usernames and Passwords: If you have forgotten your username and/or password, click on the "Login" button above and then click "Send Username/Password" beneath the login fields. Follow the on screen instructions and an e-mail will be sent to you containing the requested information.

If you wish to change your username and/or password, log into the system, select "Update My Information" from the menu above, and follow the on screen instructions.
