The American Journal of Preventive Medicine is an international peer-reviewed journal whose mission is to be a forum for the communication of information, knowledge, and wisdom in prevention science, education, practice, and policy. AJPM publishes original articles, reviews, commentary, and correspondence on all aspects of practice, education, policy, and research in preventive medicine and public health. Using this system, authors can submit manuscripts electronically and follow the manuscript through the review and revision process. Reviewers can download assigned manuscripts and submit reviews online. Editors can manage and track the entire process from initial submission and log-in to the preparation for submission for publication.
WARNING for all users!! Use of Netscape and Internet Explorer is recommended. Avoid using the Safari browser, as this may cause an error. Editorial Manager is working to improve access for all browsers.
For first-time users: Please select the "Register" button from the menu above and provide the requested information. Upon successful registration, you will receive an e-mail message with your username and password. Please keep this information for future reference. You have to register only once; your username and password will be the same whether you enter the system as an author or as a reviewer. Authors: After you have entered your username and password, select "Author Login" from the menu. Follow the instructions to submit your manuscript, update your submission in any way, or check where it is in the review process. You may use Editorial Manager’s Tutorial for Authors to help guide you through the submission process. The process works more smoothly using the latest version of Acrobat (5.0); please click on the icon below to load it onto your computer.
Reviewers: After you have entered your username and password, select "Reviewer Login" from the menu. You have a choice of selecting "new assignments" (to view any new assignments and decide to accept) or "pending assignments" (if you have already accepted an assignment) from the reviewer main menu. You may use Editorial Manager’s Tutorial for Reviewers to help guide you through the review process.
All users: You may change your contact information, username, or password at any time by selecting "Update My Information" from the menu above.
Help: Further assistance is available by selecting the "Help" button above. There you will find Login, General FAQs, and Author FAQs.
